A pitbull dog and his puppy killed a man in his 70s. He was attacked in the courtyard of his house in the Soemco neighborhood, in the city of Santa Caleta Olivia.
It happened when the man, identified as Raúl Muriano, went out to the patio of the apartment located behind the house of his daughter, and was attacked by the animals.
“A grandson of this man, who was warned by the neighbors, intervened and killed the cub with a stick to separate him from his grandfather, but it was already late,” said Miguel Coronel, curator of the Northern Regional Police Unit of Santa Cruz .
After the attack, the dog escaped from the patio of the house 25 of the street Las Violetas of the caletense neighborhood.
Before the request of aid of neighbors, in the house 67, to a few blocks of the place, police officers killed of a shot to the dog.
“She was very exalted and attacked the one who was approaching,” explained the police chief.
The man, who lived in an apartment behind his daughter’s house – an animal’s home – “eventually went out into the yard and was a victim of the attack,” Colonel Reconstructed.
“The man had broken neck and head and the ambulance arrived but the hospital doctor could do nothing but certify the death.”
For the fact there is a cause instructed by Court of Instruction No. 1 of Caleta Olivia, in the north of Santa Cruz, by Judge Mario Albarran.
