Dog Vivant, the web and mobile application to make plans with dogs and find businesses, hotels and restaurants dog friendly has announced the closure of its round of financing worth 300,000 euros.
The pet startup explains in its blog that already existing investors such as Metxa Inversiones, Conteneo, as well as the founding partners have participated in the operation. In addition, the round has also led to the entry into the capital of Seed Capital Bizkaia and the support of the Basque Institute of Finance.
The funds will help this startup mainly to continue expanding in Spain, landing in Portugal and launching new business lines with a more technological and data-oriented profile. In this sense, they want to collaborate with tourism ecosystem agents and companies in the Pet sector.
Elena Fernández, CEO and co-founder of Dog Vivant, said: “This project has a very emotional part, with a clear mission to help create a dog-friendly society. But the really interesting thing is to see how investors understand that the dog-friendly segment is not only beautiful and fun, but also presents great economic opportunities: it is a giant niche with specific, very specific and lasting needs and desires (a dog lives on 10 to 15 years). ”
For its part, the co-founder of the startup Ana Fernández, explained that “this support will allow us to grow faster and help more and more Perrihuman families to enjoy plans with dogs in Spain and Portugal, as well as explore new ways to help tourist destinations improve their dog-friendly offer. Finally, the institutions are realizing the opportunities presented by the dog-friendly segment in a hyper-mature and saturated market such as tourism in Spain ”.
