A few days ago we were talking about Zoa, a pet dating application that was looking for funding on the Kickstarter platform (with not too much success, everything has to be said).
Different groups that read us have shown interest in this kind of mobile social network for dogs, cats and other animals and today we have good news for them: Zoa is still a pilot project, but there is already another app on the market so we can socialize with Our little hairy and non-hairy friends.
Wouwi is an app available for iOS and Android that has a multitude of social components for our animals. The software allows us to make a profile for our partner, has a timeline for us to share their updates, photos and videos, there are friends, mentions can be made, etc. In short, it is a kind of tool on horseback between Twitter and Facebook, but aimed at them, those with hairs, spikes and legs.
One of its most interesting features is that of geolocation. Wouwi is designed so that we can find playmates in the vicinity. “In Wouwi we want you to meet the pets you have nearby. You can look for them on the map, propose friendship and stay with them in the park to spend the afternoon ”, clarifies the app on its official website.
Wouwi has just launched in the Spanish market, but its leaders, Jesús Bernad, Enrique Navarro and Sebastián Rivas, hope to extend it to the US and Latin America in the second half of the year. Shortly, new features will also be implemented to the application.
