According to the company, with this prototype aims that developers and technology lovers collaborate in an open source project to improve their potential.
“Robotics enthusiasts interested in Cyberdog can compete or cook with other Xiaomi fanatics of related ideas, promoting the development and potential of quadruped robots together,” says the signature in a statement.
Xiaomi also shared some of the characteristics of his robot, which is calibrated with motors of movement created in the company, which allow him to reach a rotation speed of 220 revolutions per minute (RPM) and running up to 3.2 meters per second (11.5 km / h).
The prototype also has support for complex actions such as making deadly jumps.
Xiaomi also endowed his robot dog of 11 high precision sensors who guide his movements in real time. Among them it incorporates from tactile sensors to cameras, ultrasonic sensors, GPS modules and others.
A special camera system allows the robot to perceive the environment. It is also capable of detecting obstacles.
The cyberdog was designed to be a companion. For this, it has detection of human posture and facial recognition; So you can follow your owner dodging obstacles.
Users can also control it using voice commands and an application for mobile phones.
Finally, Xiaomi announced that it will put on sale only 1,000 cyberdog units, which will have a price of 9,999 yuan, about $ 1,540.
